Femi Falana, a senior human rights lawyer, has predicted that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will end its nearly eight-month strike soon.
Falana, the ASUU’s counsel, revealed this at the book launch of Lanre Arogundade’s ‘Breaking Coconut With Your Head’ on Monday in Lagos.
In response to the appellate court’s order that public university lecturers return to classrooms, he hinted that the strike would be resolved outside of the courtroom.
Since February 14, the federal government and ASUU have been at odds over demands for proper funding of the university educational system to a global standard.
