The Dangote Refinery began production on Friday, January 12, 2024. The world’s largest single-train refinery began operations in the early hours of Friday.

Six million barrels of crude oil were supplied to the refinery this week, boosting previously received batches.

Despite the planned target of June 2023, Aliko Dangote’s oil refinery received its first crude cargo late last year, indicating a significant step towards launching the delayed megaproject.

The first phase of manufacturing will focus on diesel and aviation fuel, with petrol following later.
