Arsenal are expected to make significant signings this summer, and Emile Smith Rowe may suffer the most.
If Mikel Arteta’s transfer request is granted this summer, Emile Smith Rowe’s place in the Arsenal team will be most jeopardized.
The impending arrival of Fabio Vieira, as well as interest in Leeds winger Raphinha, could have a significant impact on Smith Rowe.
Arsenal are expected to confirm Vieira’s signing in the coming days. The 22-year-old is a versatile player who can play as a No. 10 out wide, in central midfield, or even as a false nine.
Smith Rowe’s preferred position last season was on the left side of an attacking three, with Martin Odegaard frequently being Arteta’s first choice in the more advanced midfield role. With the addition of European football next season, Arsenal will need to add depth to their squad, but they could be well-stocked in creative areas in particular.
Smith Rowe’s life would become even more difficult if Raphinha was added to the mix. The Brazilian has spent the majority of his two seasons at Leeds attacking from the right, cutting inside onto his lethal left foot.Click here to give us five stars rating!
