This week, Italy will face Argentina in the third edition of the Finalissima at Wembley Stadium.

In a Super Cup-style encounter, the winners of the European Championship face battle against the Copa America champions in the Finalissima.

Italy won Euro 2020 after defeating England on penalties in the final, and will now play another showpiece event at Wembley Stadium.

Argentina, meanwhile, won the Copa America 2021 by a 1-0 margin over Brazil, and Lionel Messi and his teammates will travel to London in search of more success.

The Artemio Franchi Cup, which was last held in 1993, has been reimagined as the Finalissima.

Argentina also competed in that match, and won on penalties against Denmark in the Estadio Jose Maria Minella in Mar del Plata.

In 1985, France won the Artemio Franchi Cup for the first time, defeating Uruguay 2-0 in Paris.

The match between Italy vs Argentina will take place at Wembley Stadium in London on Wednesday, June 1.

The match will begin at 7:45 p.m. in the United Kingdom.

It will be a one-off match that will last 90 minutes. There will be no overtime, therefore if the score is tied at the end of regulation time, penalties will be applied.

There will be a maximum of five substitutes allowed.

Piero Maza, a Chilean, will be the referee.
