Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA), has died.

According to reports, she died on Monday, January 9, at the St Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, following a brief illness.

Obi Emelonye, a colleague in the film industry, confirmed her death on social media and shared a short tribute to her.

“Thank you, dada, and good night,” he wrote.

Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, a well-known filmmaker, was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers, or AMP.
