Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, has expressed gratitude for the reception he received on Friday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God camp.
The former Anambra governor was at the RCCG Redemption City, formerly known as Redemption Camp, on Friday night for the Perfect Jubilee convention.
According to a video that went viral earlier on Saturday, Obi’s arrival at the church was met with applause from attendees of the ‘Perfect Jubilee’ event.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Obi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received at the event.
He wrote, “Sharing moments of true worship last night with a great congregation at the RCCG Convention was a special experience of joy, strength and love for me.
“I was humbled by the warm welcome, but above all, I am grateful for the opportunity to be in the midst of the brethren.”
