The British government is organising flights to get British citizens out of Israel, with the first flight leaving Tel Aviv later today.
The Foreign Secretary has declared that the UK government will facilitate commercial flights to the UK to assist British nationals who want to escape Israel following the Hamas attack.
The first aircraft is scheduled to fly from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport today (Thursday, October 12).
These flights will prioritise vulnerable British nationals. At this point, those who are qualified for the flights will be contacted individually, and British nationals should not go to the airport unless they are called.
Since Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel, UK government personnel in London, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv have been working around the clock to support British people in the country. A Rapid Deployment Team has also been dispatched to Israel to assist with the efforts.
