Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married in a drive-through chapel in Las Vegas.
The couple announced their marriage in a Lopez newsletter, revealing that they flew to the desert city of Nevada to obtain a marriage license and married on July 17 at a chapel.
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” wrote Lopez in a message signed Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
She also revealed that she said “I do” wearing “a dress from an old movie.”
According to document details posted online by the county clerk’s office, they obtained a marriage license in their names from Clark County on Saturday, July 16.
Lopez shared a photo on social media of herself in a bed, wearing a silver wedding ring.
Lopez, 52, appeared to have two different looks for her wedding, one of which was a white lace off-the-shoulder gown with long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, a corset bodice, and a fishtail train from Zuhair Murad’s bridal collection, as well as a matching lace-trimmed veil.
Photos in her newsletter also show her wearing a white sleeveless boatneck gown with a quilted texture, which was presumably a vintage find.
According to Lopez, Affleck wore a white tux from his own closet as the couple exchanged “the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives” at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
Affleck and Lopez, better known as “Bennifer,” got engaged in April of this year.
The wedding of the celebrity power couple in Nevada was the culmination of a relationship that spanned two decades in two separate romances and graced countless tabloid covers.
The traditional Vegas wedding comes three months after the couple announced their engagement and 18 years after they called off their wedding.Click here to give us five stars rating!
