One minute with Pheelz

Of the 10 years you have been in the music business and of all the artistes you have worked with (such as Olamide, M.I, Seyi Shay etc), what would you consider to be your best experience and who have you had the most fun working with?

*laughs* all of them. Every experience I’ve had in the industry has been such a blessing. I could say the same for all the collaborations with other artists. It’s always fun collaborating with other artists. Everyone brings something to the table in their own unique way.

What is the inspiration behind your new song “finesse” (Folake for the night)?

I was hanging out in the studio with a newly signed producer, Michael (MikeGoCrazy) when he played the beat. So I added the melody, lyrics, and layers to the chorus. The final sound was so good I had to share a snippet on TikTok. Buju hit me up after seeing the video on TikTok so I asked him for a verse and he came through.

When can we expect your album? And are there more collaborations we can look forward to?

I have a project coming out really soon…before the end of the year. Some really amazing artists are featured on the project. I can’t wait for you to listen.

If you weren’t a musician doing what you do now, what do you think you would do?

Hmm…if I wasn’t a musician, I think I’d still be a creative. I’ve always explored different art forms other than music. So I’d probably be a creative director or Motion & graphic designer.
