Arsenal has met with Paulo Dybala’s representatives in the hopes of signing him as a free agent following his departure from Juventus.
The Argentine forward’s contract with Turin ends at the conclusion of the season. The Gunners are interested in signing the Argentine and have already made conversations with his representatives to learn what terms he will demand.
Dybala, 28, is out of contract with Juve at the end of the season and has been unable to reach an agreement with the Bianconeri on fresh terms. The club is resigned to losing Dybala on a free transfer, and attention will immediately turn to his future destination, with Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly interested.
A meeting between the North London club and the striker’s agents was place in London, according to ESPN, although the forward is also planning meetings with other clubs throughout Europe as he plots his future.
Dybala has been linked with a high-profile move to the Premier League after leading the Turin club in scoring with 15 goals and six assists this season. Separately, FootMercato reported that Dybala might join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer.
The five-time Serie A winner posted an emotional tribute to the Juventus fanbase as he confirmed he would not be at the club next season, though it has been an open secret for quite some time – hence the interest from so many other outfits across the continent.
“It is difficult to find the right words to greet you, there are many years and many emotions involved, all together,” he wrote on his Twitter profile. “I thought we would be together even more years, but fate puts us on different paths.
