The Big Brother Titans Reality TV Show is getting closer than we thought, as it will begin in less than 72 hours.
As we all know, Big Brother Titans is a combination of Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi, which has elicited a wide range of opinions from the two countries involved, as they root for their fellow countryman to win the TV show.
The Labour Party (LP), one of the major nominees, recently requested that the Big Brother Titans Reality TV Show be cancelled or rescheduled until further notice (probably after the election). They fear that the show will make Nigerian youths unwilling to vote, posing a challenge to Peter Obi’s presidential election victory.
If we look at previous online posts, we can see that most youths are rooting for Peter Obi to win the presidential election, which is why the Presidential campaign committee, Dr Yunusa Tanko, stated the event should be cancelled.
The Big Brother Titans will premiere on January 15 and will run for 12 weeks, clashing with the election, but those who intend to watch the show have already commented on the election and the show. Some people argued that the reality TV programme should not jeopardise the election because the election is political and the show is entertainment. Some went on to insult the political party since they believed Tinubu, an APC candidate, would win the upcoming election.
