Ondo State Police Command officers detained Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, on Thursday in response to a petition filed by her pastor, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah.

Chef Dammy was apprehended and questioned by Police AIG Zone 17 operatives in Akure.

Speaking on the development, Zone 17 spokesperson DSP Adeoye Hakeem revealed that the police received a petition against Chef Dammy and invited her.
Also, the Zone in a statement on ‘X’ said: “A complaint was received by the office of AIG Zone 17 via a written petition against chef Dammy.

“She was then invited for interrogation which she honoured today as she came with a female staff from the office of Her Excellency, the First Lady of Ekiti State. Dammy was later released to her as the investigation will continue.

“We assure you all that justice will be served without prejudice.”

DSP Hakeem disclosed that Dammy honoured the police invitation and was consequently granted administrative bail after providing a surety.

“…Dammy was later released to her as investigation will continue. We assure you all that justice will be served without prejudice,” the statement added.

Chef Dammy and her pastor, Billionaire Dollar Prophet, came to public attention when the former began her cook-a-thon ‘test run’ on 11 June and continued until 15 June, making over 100 pots of food over her four-day kitchen stay.

The 24-year-old said she was inspired by her pastor, but many Nigerians believed she was motivated by a desire to surpass Hilda’s record, which was confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records.

However, she stated that it was a test run because the 120-hour cook-a-thon was intended to stretch her abilities rather than break any records.

The chef and the preacher spat after the young woman declared that Billionaire Pastor should be held accountable if anything bad happened to her, a statement the cleric found offensive and threatened to arrest her.
