A well-known Islamic scholar and legal luminary Sheikh Abdul Ganiy Dhunuraeni Aboto Al-Adabiy Fadeelatu has died.
The kwara-born religious leader was killed in an auto accident on Saturday near the akerebiata abattoir market way in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The accident also claimed the lives of two people who were believed to be aboto’s students.
Sheikh Aboto, as he was affectionately known by his admirers, was a well-versed student of Sheikh Kamali-dden Al-Adabiy and is well-known for his erudition in Qur’anic exposition.
He is said to be one of the first people in Ilorin to memorize the Holy Qur’n.
