Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transportation, has earned a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB).

Amaechi attended Baze University in Abuja, which is run by Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The owner is Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate for 2023.

The former Rivers Speaker and Governor was among the 504 students who received diplomas in various fields.

Amaechi resigned from his ministerial post after running for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination.

He finished second to party co-founder and former Lagos governor Bola Tinubu, but ahead of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, and former Senator Dino Melaye were among those who attended Baze.

The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also studied law and will graduate in 2021.
