On Saturday, March 26, suspected terrorists attacked the Kaduna International Airport in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing a security employee of the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority NAMA.
Terrorists numbering over 200 are believed to have seized over the airport, preventing an aircraft from taking off. According to reports, the incident forced the authority to briefly halt operations while the military battled suspected terrorists.
An aircraft scheduled to take off for Lagos at 12:30pm was unable to fly as a result of the presence of the terrorists at the runway of the airport.
The state government nor the state police command is yet to comment on this development.
