Victor Osimhen and Wilfred Ndidi among the most expensive Africa players behind Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Nicolas Pepe according to CIES Football Observatory who released the list of top 100 costliest footballers in the world.

The 21-year-old Nigeria international is also rated the 66th in the world following a compilation of the market value of the players in the top five leagues.

It’s been a remarkable rise for Osimhen who joined Lille from Royal Charleroi for just 12m euros last summer but the Super Eagles striker price has increased to 64.3m euros money Lille paid after scoring 18 goals and registered six assists in 31 league appearances for Ligue 1 outfit.

However, Leicester City midfielder Ndidi, who is the other Nigerian in the Top 100 most expensive players in the world is valued at €50m as former Genk man ranked fifth in Africa and 94th in the world.

Liverpool duo, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane are valued at €145 and €139 respectively, while Arsenal summer signing Nicolas Pepe is third with a value of €73m.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe is the most expensive player in the world with a value of €259.2 despite the coronavirus pandemic but he is followed by a quartet of English stars of Raheem Sterling (€194.7m), Jadon Sancho (€179.1M), Trent Alexander-Arnold (€171.1m) and Marcus Rashford (€152.3m) for making up the top five list.
