A veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, has been named an “International Peace Ambassador.”

She announced the news on Wednesday by posting a photo to her verified Instagram page.

Much to the delight of her fans, Ngozi ezeonu said:

“International Peace Ambassador. Another feather to my cap. Thank you Lord! Now I am Amb. chief Ngozi Ezeonu”.

Since then, the 57-year-old actress has been responding to messages and comments of congratulations from her family, friends, colleagues, and fans.

Her acting career began in 1994, when she was cast as Ngozi Ikpelue in the film ‘Nneka, the Pretty Serpent.’ She has appeared in over 250 films since then.

She grew up with five siblings and was born to D.O Ikpelue and Ezenwanyi Joy Nonyelum. She went to primary and secondary schools in Owerri before landing her first job as a hairstylist in an Owerri beauty salon.
