On the 25th of February, 2023, the citizens of Africa’s most populous nation elect the country’s next president and lawmakers.

In all, 94 million citizens registered for the election; No fewer than 87.2 million of them have collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and were eligible to vote.

The results from the election has started trickling in, as each state’s election presiding officer travels down to the country’s capital city, Abuja to deliver state’s election results at the National Collation Center.

Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election is seen as a tight race between the three major candidates: Labour Party’s (LP)  Peter Obi, All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
