Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper, has been found guilty of all three charges related to the shooting of colleague and former friend Megan Thee Stallion.
The unanimous verdict was reached by a jury seated in a Los Angeles court on Friday, Billboard reports.
The rapper was found guilty on all counts, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and grossly negligent discharge of a firearm.
The incident occurred in July 2020, after both rappers left a private party hosted by reality television star Kylie Jenner.
Megan claimed she got into an altercation with Lanez and her friend Harry while being driven home by Lanez’s security guard, Jaquan Smith.
Meghan claimed that during the squabble, she alighted from the car and was then shot in the foot by Lanez. She claimed he yelled, “Dance, b**ch,” while firing from the window several times.
While he refused to testify during the trial, Lanez had previously pleaded “Not Guilty” after being arraigned in November 2020.
With the verdict, Lanez faces up to 22 years in prison.
