Sam Larry was born on 7th January, 1980, in Lagos state, Nigeria. He is a Muslim & hails from the Yoruba tribe in southwest Nigeria. His parents, Mr. & Mrs. Balogun gave him the name, Alubarika Eletu Balogun after birth.

Sam Larry received basic education in Lagos state, where he grew up.

 

Fame & Career

After infamous musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, claimed that Larry was the One Million Boys cult’s founder and leader, the story went viral and Larry became well-known.

Sam Larry distanced himself from Portable after the accusations and advised him not to call him on the phone ever again.

Later, Portable makes it clear that he meant “One Million followers” on Instagram and that he had not intended to disclose his name.

Sam Larry has connections to Zinoleesky and vocalist Naira Marley in addition to the Portable story.

He is associated with Marlians Record, and a close colleague of Naria Marley.

 

Sam Larry & Mohbad Controversy

A video of Sam Larry and his boys reportedly mistreating the late musician Mohabad appeared online after the artist passed away.

In the footage, Mohbad and singer Zlatan Ibile looked to be filming a music video when Mohbad and his men arrived to cause a disturbance. The group attempted to attack Mohbad while being witnessed transporting a cutlass and other lethal weapons.

Zlatan intervened to stop Sam Larry and his boys from attacking and mistreating Mohbad, saving the situation.

Now, Sam Larry is been accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s demise.
