Two lives lost in APC/PDP clash in Edo state
As the Edo gubernatorial elections draw nearer, party actors go about in their business. Consequently, they have been educating their members on their political right. Also, they spent time to sensitize them for support.
However, the campaign grounds witnessed large gathering inspite of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the usual of incentive and souvenir dispense was not ruled out. Many came out duly for the financial benefits, singing appraisal of the party excos in the name of gesture politics.

Reports came in today that the Gov. Nyesom Wike led campaign team encountered their counterparts again. It is sad to note that the clash claimed the lives of two APC members. This is electoral violence in the making. The antipathy is strong. The streets of Edo, the nation’s heartbeat, is in disarray.
Sometimes ago, it was reported that the PDP campaign train met with their APC counterparts at the Oba of Benin palace. The palace lit up with the noise of the drums and campaignspeak. To clarify, the unpleasant sound came from the parties. After that, a slight rancor emerged.
